1. FEATURES & BENEFITS

• Pour directly from the bag
• Easily compacted
• Premium quality

2. USES

Ideal for repairing black-top surfaces 2.5 cm (1”) to 10 cm (4”) thick, up to an area of 0.4 m² (4 ft²). Repair asphalt drives, walks and parking areas that have sunk, wide cracks, pot holes or areas damaged from gas and oil. Not recommended for use on curbs, speed bumps and ramps, or for new driveway extensions.

3. PROCEDURES

Mix and substrate temperatures should be maintained between 5 °C (40 °F) and 30 °C (86 °F) for at least 24 hours prior to and 72 hours after placement. When the ambient temperature is below 15 °C (60 °F), keep bag in a warm environment (20 °C/68 °F or greater) for a least 24 hours before using. For temperatures below 5 °C (40 °F), refer to KING Asphalt-20.

Surface Preparation: Chisel out and remove all existing, damaged asphalt, to a depth of 5 cm (2”) to 10 cm (4”). Square up the area to be repaired, ensuring that all the sides are vertical. Avoid a bird bath shaped edge. Using a stiff broom or brush, remove all loose particles, mud, dust, grass, etc. Remove any unsound portions of the base. Fill deeper holes with gravel to proper depth.

Placing: Pour SAKRETE Asphalt Repair into hole and level about 1.3 cm (1/2”) higher than surrounding pavement. Thoroughly compact using a hand-tamper. Deep holes should be compacted in layers 5 cm (2”) thick or less. Final repair should not exceed 10 cm (4”) in depth.

NOTE: The greater the compaction, the better the patch.

4. CURING

Repair may normally be used after 3-7 days. However, hardening is prolonged in warm weather.

5. SEALING

Allow 60-90 days curing time before applying a driveway sealer, and follow driveway sealer manufacturer directions.

6. CLEAN UP

Clean tools with mineral spirits immediately after use.

7. YIELD

30 KG (66 lb) yields approximately 0.2 m² (2 ft²) at 7.6 cm (3″) thick. Coverage indicated varies with the irregularity of the surface and the level of compaction.

8. STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

Compaction from storage does not change the workability. Material should be stored in a dry, covered area, protected from the elements. Unopened bags have a shelf life of 12 months.

9. SAFETY PROCEDURES

Do not swallow. Do not get in eyes. Do not get on skin or clothing. Do not breathe fumes. Handle with care. Keep out of reach of children. Wear safety glasses and protective clothing. Use only in a well-ventilated area.
FIRST AID TREATMENT: If swallowed call a poison control center or doctor immediately.
