King Paving & Construction Company Appoints Two New Construction Superintendents

King Paving & Construction Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Eduardo (Eddie) Rincon Marquez and Peter Cowman, each to the position of Construction Superintendent.

In this position, Eddie will be responsible for all asphalt hot-mix and asphalt milling operations. Eddie began his career with King Paving & Construction in 2013 as a Construction Labourer. During the off-season, he attended Fanshawe College where he graduated in Civil Engineering Technology and is currently working on his Certified Engineering Technologist designation. Since 2016, Eddie has been responsible for all phases of asphalt paving operations including planning the traffic-control, as well as managing labour, material, equipment and subcontractors. Eddie has gained a great reputation in the industry; he is well-known and respected by customers including MTO, City of Burlington, City of Hamilton, and many more. Eddie follows a long line of Asphalt Superintendents who have worked for KING throughout the company’s history, and with that, he carries on KING’s reputation for quality and respect.

In this position, Peter will continue to be responsible for all aspects of construction contracts. Peter began his career with KING in 2007 as a Student Labourer. Peter attended McMaster University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science & Economics, as well as a Master’s Degree in Health & Aging Policy. After graduating, Peter was appointed to the position of Junior Superintendent where he assisted superintendents with projects. Peter learned very quickly and soon took on larger projects involving road re-construction, storm and sanitary installation, watermain replacement, and concrete work. Peter has shown great leadership and confidence in the way he has run his projects, and is now called on for the most difficult and challenging jobs. He has gained a great reputation and is well respected by the inspectors and engineers in the Halton Region and the City of Burlington. Some of Peters jobs include Burlington’s Lakeshore Road, North Service Road, and Ardleigh Avenue. He has also managed two projects with a new customer, Starlight Developments, who just completed a job in Burlington and recently started a new project in Mississauga. By his performance on these jobs and many more, Peter has helped open opportunities with new customers and helped to strengthen KING’s reputation as the best in the industry.
