1. INTRODUCTION

The King Shotcrete Equipment Gunning Rig is a stand-alone, self-powered, dry-process shotcrete, pre-dampening/gunning machine for use with pre-packaged, pre-blended shotcrete materials. It promotes proper hydration of gunning materials and ensures minimal rebound. The Gunning Rig combines the proven success of the Aliva AL-246.5 Rotor Gun with a continuous pre-dampener. This Gunning Rig is available in air power or diesel/hydraulic power options.

The Gunning Rig provides the opportunity to add a controlled amount of moisture to the shotcrete material as it is transported and fed into the gun. The addition of moisture (as much as 60% of the total water required) and the mixing action of the auger, starts the hydration process moments before the material reaches the nozzle where the remaining water will be added.

The hopper-feed auger is variable speed to control output, and an exclusive over-centre lock allows for quick raising and lowering of the auger trough. A water-cooled, diesel engine provides powerful performance driving the hydraulic system. Trailer-mounting includes single, torque-flex axle, electric brakes and lights, as well as a pintle eye towing hitch.
