Job Posting: Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst reports to the IT Manager, and facilitates the delivery of information systems applications and helps align business processes with the corporate Enterprise Systems. This role works with the team for researching, planning, coordinating and recommending software, to meet the organization’s business requirements. Responsibilities include creating reports and analysis tools using SSRS, SQL queries and other business intelligence applications, in order to support the reporting strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work with decision-makers to define business requirement and system goals, and to help identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Implement and support Enterprise Systems
  • Prepare data-mapping and perform in-depth testing of applications
  • Support Microsoft Office ERP add-ins and tools
  • Write specifications for new business processes and enhancements
  • Assist in the development of reporting specifications and implementation thereof
  • Design and deploy workspaces and dashboards
  • Set up workflows and event automation
  • Conduct user training on various application modules
  • Administer and maintain ERP user accounts and access rights
  • Work with support vendors to schedule installs, upgrades, conversions and cut-overs
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to ensure effective project communications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the implementation and support of Enterprise Systems
  • Experience developing reporting specifications
  • Proficiency in SSRS report writing would be a strong asset
  • Post-Secondary Education in Business and/or Computer Science is preferred
  • Advanced skills with relational database systems, stored procedures, views and triggers using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Microsoft Visual Studio\SQL Server Data Tools is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with both technical and non-technical staff
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Will be expected to travel as needed
  • Periodic weekend or evening work is expected
  • Experience with Exact Macola 10 and Synergy is a definite plus
  • Experience with CRM, WMS, MRP, EDI and Production scheduling tools is a definite asset
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
