Job Posting: Ontario Retail Sales Manager

You will be responsible for a highly-motivated sales team and a brand-leading product line. Your objective will be to maximize this winning combination. The geographical scope of the position is for all retail sales in Ontario, as far east as Kingston.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist VP Sales in all transactions with the all retail events including: annual meetings, negotiations, and day-to-day requests from the account
  • Participate in customer markets, trade shows and expos
  • Manage Account Managers: set, monitor and review objectives yearly
  • Set and execute Annual Sales Meeting for the Ontario region and collaborate with the Quebec Region
  • Work with the VP Sales, Quebec Sales Manager, Account Managers and Marketing Manager on yearly marketing plans
  • Prepare the annual budget
  • Forecast annual production requirements
  • Approve monthly expense reports
  • Working daily with the Account Managers on all issues including: competition, pricing, customer service and advertising
  • Attend contractor events and customer meetings as necessary
  • Create monthly Gross Margin Report
  • Conduct monthly P&L analysis
  • Provide input regarding new products and discontinued products
  • Facilitate entry and exit of new products with our customers and Account Managers
  • Set and help maintain sales policies
  • Work with other departments including Operations, Accounting and Credit, Marketing, and IT

Qualifications:

  • Computer: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • College or University Degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Possess a valid Driver’s Licence
  • Be comfortable at public speaking
  • Sales management experience is an asset
  • Organized self-starter
  • Excellent communicator, negotiator and problem solver
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment
  • French language is an asset
  • Building Supply Industry experience an asset
