KPM Industries Ltd. Appoints New Payroll Manager

On November 30, 2018, Karen King will retire after 44 years of dedicated service. Karen began her career with KING in September of 1974 in the payroll department of the Flintkote Company of Canada. At that time she reported to Doug Barnes. In April of 1993, following Mr. Barnes’ retirement, Karen took over full responsibility for the payroll function. As the company grew, Karen also grew professionally. In November of 2001, Karen recruited Janice Whalen to work with her. Karen continued to expand her role and in January 2009, she was promoted to Human Resources Manager. Throughout her career, Karen has put a great deal of care into her work, as well as for the people at KING. Her thoroughness and attention-to-detail served her well in her role. She could always be relied upon to ensure that payroll and benefits were delivered accurately and on-time.

In turn, KPM Industries Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointment of Janice Whalen to the position of Payroll Manager, effective December 1, 2018. Janice joined KING in 2001. In her role as Payroll & Benefits Specialist, she has done an excellent job. She has proven herself to be an indispensable member of the Administration Team, and has been a great pleasure to work with. Janice has a Business Accounting Diploma from Mohawk College and in 2008, she received her designation as a Certified Payroll Manager. In 2012, Janice received a certificate in Human Resource Management from Sheridan College.
